The first homes in Madison were constructed in 2006 on approximately 1/3 acre home sites. Those initial homes were priced in the high $400,000′s to the high $500,000′s and were built by custom builders such as Tuggle Residential and Martin McWhorter Custom Homes. Most of them had at least four bedrooms and four bathrooms. Most of the home building stopped in 2008 due to the downturn in the economy. A few homes were built in 2010 and 2011, in the low $400,000′s. A second phase of the community was opened in late 2011 with three custom builders participating: Martin McWhorter Custom Homes, High Craft Homes and Trendmark Homes.
Madison is located off Post Road between the intersections of Kelly Mill Road to the south and Canton Highway (Hwy. 20) to the north. Amenities for the resale homes and new home listings include a swimming pool, tennis courts and a lakeside clubhouse.
If you are into competitive tennis, you really need to visit the Atlanta Lawn Tennis Association (ALTA) website. The various Madison teams have distinguished themselves as tough to beat.
